Favorite Gelato In Florence
Gelateria Cioccolateria Vivaldi
Address: Via Dei Renai 15r, 50125, Florence Italy
This was my favorite gelato I had in all of Italy! Their flavors are so rich and delicious. (It's also on the way to Piazzale Michelangelo, so it makes for a great hiking snack). My favorite flavor combination here was mixing dark chocolate and hazelnut.
Edoardo il Gelato Biologico
Address: Piazza del Duomo 45/R, 50122, Florence Italy
This spot is very popular and conveniently located right next to the Duomo, so expect to wait in line. They are known for their organic and seasonal flavors as well as their homemade waffle cones. The aroma of the waffle cones spills out into the streets and taunts you as you wait in line to order.
Gelateria Santa Trinita
Address: Piazza De' Frescobaldi 11/12/r Ponte Santa Trinita, 50125, Florence Italy
Although I don't have any photos from this place, it's in a great location right along the Arno River. I enjoyed their large selection of unique flavors, my favorite being kiwi!
Pro Tip: While studying abroad, I was taught that the best and most authentic gelato is found in closed metal canisters rather than being openly displayed with garnish.
