Things to do in nairobi
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nursery

A visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust nursery will warm your heart and fill you with admiration for the many wonderful people who dedicate their time and energy to helping orphaned elephants (and other animals).
Giraffe Center

The Giraffe Center is home to 10 endangered Rothschild giraffes. You can visit to learn more about their conservation and education efforts as well as have the opportunity to feed the giraffes a tasty snack!
Nairobi National Park
This park offers a unique experience to witness African wildlife with the city skyline in the background. It encompasses 45 square miles, and is only fenced on the side closest to the city, so animals can come and go freely. We saw ostriches, warthogs, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, impalas, and lions (5 females and a cub).
Karen Blixen Museum

Explore the beautiful property of Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa, and get a glimpse into the history of Kenya during the early 1900s. A local guide will show you around at no additional cost to your entry ticket.
Nairobi National Museum

Some of our favorite exhibits were the History of Kenya, the Cradle of Human Kind, and the East African birds.
